Eggstravaganza Slot Review

Rival Gaming LogoThe Eggstravaganza slot is a game based around Easter, featuring such characters as the Easter Bunny and an Easter Chick. As you might have guessed from the title of the slot, eggs are a big feature of the game – however to beat the game you’ll need to hatch a plan to win some eggstra cash.

In this review I examine all aspects of the Eggstravaganza slot. I start with a look at the basics of the slot, with a guide to the top symbols in the game. I then move onto look at the bonus symbol, and how you’ll win extra spins when hitting it. I finish with a look at the software behind the game and an overview of the slot.

Eggstravaganza – The Basics

The game is a standard three reel slot. For players unfamiliar with this format, you’ll need your symbols to land in the center of the reel (as seen with the bonnet in reel one in the picture) for the symbol to count. Reels where there is no symbol on the center line (as seen in reels two and three) will not count towards a winning line. This also means that there is only one winning line in this slot.

Options for players include selecting the number of coins for each spin (1, 2, or 3), and setting the amount you’ll want to play for and an auto play feature. When ready to go, you’ll hit spin and the action starts.

The top symbol in the game is the Easter egg, and hitting three of these will give you 750 coins if betting one coin, 1500 if betting two and 2,500 if betting three coins.  The Easter Bunny comes next, worth 300 coins for the three coin spin. After this comes the Easter Chick, a butterfly, a daisy, an Easter bonnet, a basket of eggs and finally a chocolate bunny. All of the symbols will need to line up as three in a row for you to win, apart from the Easter Chick, where you’ll win a small amount if the chick appears just once or twice on any of the reels.

When landing on any of the chick symbols, you’ll see an animation of a family of chicks walk across the top of the slot – which is a nice touch. The game has a quirky background sound that is lively and interspersed with the sound of birds tweeting.

Eggstravaganza – Bonus Feature

As well as being the second most valuable symbol in the game, the Easter Bunny also activates free spins at the game. If landing one Easter Bunny, you’ll receive five free spins. If landing the symbol twice you’ll gain ten free spins. Hitting the Bunny three times won’t gain you any free spins, but will give you the big win as standard for landing three symbols in a row.

The free spins will run automatically, however there is an added bonus that comes with these – each win will be worth 3x the standard winning amount. Due to the speed of the free spins, you’ll see the amounts increase quickly – these shown in a ‘free spins’ box that appears in the top left hand corner of the screen.

The Eggstravaganza slot is supplied by Rival casino software, and is one of a number of slot games developed by the company. You’ll find 5 reel slots alongside the 3 reel slots, as well as a number of progressive jackpot slots. The games are designed for use on both a PC and a Mac and are available to play through a browser and via the download version at many individual casinos. Rival also offer a selection of their slots on their mobile platform, these games designed using HTML 5, making them ideal for use on the iPad and Android devices.

Eggstravaganza – Overview

This slot is a fun one, and offers a good way to pass some time. Compared to many other slots in the casino marketplace it is somewhat basic, without any large features or the real excitement that comes with progressive jackpots. As such, this game would be a good starting point for the player enjoying slots for the first time, before moving onto the larger games with more interactive features.
