Scary Rich 2 Slot Review

This Slot is the second installment of the ‘Scary Rich’ series and is a big step up from the original with a much darker and slightly less comedic appeal. This game also features a particularly effective soundtrack, with the eerie dripping noise conjuring up some not particularly nice images in your head.

In this review I consider all aspects of this ‘dark’ slot. I look at the basics of the game and explain exactly which symbols you’ll want to appear most on your reels. I then move on to examine the bonus feature of the game and explain how the wild symbol works. I finish with a look at the iSlots series of which this game is a part and an overview of the ‘Scary Rich 2’ slot.

The Scary Rich 2 – The Basics

The first thing you’ll notice about this slot are the grisly, rather menacing characters but behind all this you’ll find a 5 reel slot with 20 win lines. You’ll be able to select both the number of lines and the number of coins you’ll play for, and you’ll also be able to set the game to auto play. The top symbol in the game is ‘the coffin’ and five of these will win you a cool 10,000 coins – this symbol also acts as the wild symbol. A zombie like creature with bad teeth (seen in the center of the picture) is the second most profitable symbol, followed by a pale looking scary doll (bottom right). The rest of the game is made up by a cast of weird and wonderful creatures, none of whom you’d particularly like to meet in a dark alleyway (or anywhere else for that matter!).  My particular favorite is the large rat, who seems to go to the same dentist as the zombie.

The gameplay itself is impressive, the reels spinning with a knife slashing and a trail of blood on each reel, and the symbols themselves becoming animated when they form a winning line – for example, the coffin will open to reveal the rather grisly contents, or a character might scream at you.

The Scary Rich 2 – Bonuses and Features

As stated earlier, ‘the coffin’ acts as the wild symbol, but also offers other advantages. If triggering two of these symbols, the wins will be the subject of a 3x multiplier, three for a 6x multiplier or four for a 13x multiplier.

The game also features a ‘werewolf’ symbol which acts as the scatter symbol – you’ll need to hit three of these to activate the bonus round. This bonus round gives you 13 free spins, however in these spins, hitting ‘the coffin’ acts as an expanding wild, meaning that the entire reel will now be wild, leading to greatly increased wins. All wins made by using this wild symbol will be subject to a 3x multiplier in this bonus round.

iSlots by Rival

The Scary Rich 2 is a part of the iSlots range of games offered by Rival casino software. The aim of these games is to feature an interactive storyline in the slots, all beginning with a short animation to introduce the theme. This slot’s opening animation features a graveyard (where else!) where some of the game’s characters appear. All of the iSlots games are available on a PC or a Mac, and can be played directly through your browser or will be available through the download version offered by online casinos. A selection of the iSlots games are also available on the go, and are designed using HTML 5, meaning the games are ideal for an iPad or an Android device.

The Scary Rich 2 – Overview

This slot is a very atmospheric one, and if a fan of horror, you’ll feel right at home here. The lack of features is something of a downside, with just the free spins available - a feature round in the same dark, eerie settings might have enhanced the game. However, the game is very playable and there are certainly worse slots out there that do have more features.  This is a game I would return to and it is no surprise that the series has continued with ‘The scary Rich 3’.
