Bovada Poker is the US division of the Bodog brand that has become synonymous with words such as “market leader” and “innovation”. It is a well-established online gambling company that started back in 1995 as an online sportsbook and casino.

Given their strong market position and know-how when it comes to knowing what their customers want it has helped them to develop the largest player base out of all the US-facing sites, but unlike other poker sites, is exclusive to US players.

The poker site actually shares the same player pool with Bodog (Canadian players only) since they are one and the same company. For the most part, you can expect to find lots of juicy games, as this online poker room went the direction of catering to casual players.

Anonymous Tables at Bovada

Bovada’s poker room offers fully anonymous tables, meaning that players can’t be identified as there are no custom avatars or player names. Instead, players are identified by a table number and that’s it.

As a result of this, online poker heads-up displays (HUDs) used to track player statistics in real-time don’t work at this site. Such a change came about to deter ‘serious’ players from playing at Bovada Poker, and as a way to encourage a more friendly and recreational playing environment. This has been a success, and Bovada has grown while other US sites have not increased their player numbers.

Bovada Software

The Bovada Poker software client is functional and offers multi-tabling with all the standard features you would expect at any of the top online poker rooms, including custom game filters, quick seat functionality, and rabbit hunting. So it's super easy to find a suitable game and get involved in the action.

There is no instant play version available so you will need to download the Bovada Poker software to be able to play any of the real money games for PC/MAC players. There is a native download for both users.

Bovada Games and Tournaments

At Bovada’s Poker room you can find all the most popular poker games: Texas Holdem, Omaha, 7 Card Stud, and 5 Card Stud. There is a wide range of stakes and betting limits that are available to play.
